We estimate that aggregate demand for American natural gas (consumption + exports) totaled around 685 bcf for the week ending January 11 (down 2.0% w-o-w and down 5.0% y-o-y). Total weekly demand has dropped below the 9-year norm (-0.5% - see the chart below) for the first time since February 2017.
